Atrangi Re, a multi-star cast movie, which was much awaited after Akshay Kumar’s block buster entertainment Sooryavansi released on December 24 on Disney+Hotstar app. Since its launch on the OTT platform, it is ranking the charts.

The most anticipated film of the year, Atrangi Re, produced under the banner, T-Series Colour Yellow Productions Cape of Good Films and it is helmed by Aanand L. Rai.

It is a narrative of an unusual love triangle in which Sara-Ali Khan will be seen romancing with two of the industry's top names, Dhanush and Akshay Kumar. Sara is sure to wow her fans once more in the flick with her lovely and effervescent persona. Following a positive response from the public.

The unprecedented move to release in OTT platform has been a masterstroke for quite a few reasons. The box-office was filled with blockbuster Bollywood and Hollywood movies like Spiderman-No Way Home and 83. Being the festive season of Christmas and New Year, it is a tough competition to get more crowd. So, the screening on the OTT platform was important for the team of Atrangi Re.

The alarming rise in Omicron cases have led to closing down of various movie theatres and mall outlets in different metro cities. In such crucial time Atrangi Re has gained more viewers than those released in the theatres.

The IMDB ratings for the movie is 6.8/10, with the budget of Rs. 40 crore the movie has earned a huge profit of Rs. 100 crore. (approximately)

The narrative also delicately addresses the problem of mental health, but never becomes preachy. Atrangi Re boasts a casting coup that cannot go wrong, starring Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush, and Akshay Kumar in prominent roles. Though with enthusiastic performers like Sara and Akshay, you might expect the plot to be a little over-the-top, but the filmmaker strikes such a great balance that none of his characters overpower one other. Every one of them, even Vishu's closest buddy (Ashish Verma) and Rinku's grandma (Seema Biswas), shines in their roles. Akshay, the superstar, lets Sara take the lead, while Dhanush balances out her enthusiasm.

After the music, Atrangi Re's script is one of its main selling points. Himanshu Sharma's work transports you to another universe where love has a new meaning. The moments have been sewn together in such a way that they will make you cry and grin at the same time.

Atrangi Re is devoid of Bollywood film tropes. It deviates from the tried-and-true formula that we often see in love stories. It's not your typical boy meets girl narrative. It's also not about a couple who were forced to marry and then decided to give their love a shot. It goes far beyond anything you and I could imagine.
